PUBLIC WORKS: STILL WE WILL LOVE

sadly there will be no Shakespeare in the Park this summer. here is something to lift our spirits while we wait until we can gather again - the first international Public Works collaboration. This video of STILL I WILL LOVE involves over 150 community members from across the country and London who took on the invitation to sing this song from their corner of the world. I'm devastated we won't get to sing it together in the park this summer, but I know we will be back someday, stronger than ever. To my Public Works and The Public Theater family - my heart is with you always.

    BE WELL, EVERYONE

I’ll leave you with this beautiful performance of my song Huddled Masses by the young performers at Broadway For All. I mean - how amazing are these soloists?

Learn more about this powerful program at BroadwayforAll.org. Their mission is "to transform the American stage and screen to reflect the diversity of America. They train young artists from all income levels and all ethnic backgrounds in a world-class conservatory--led by professionals from the Broadway, television, and film industries--in order to shape a new generation of artists, leaders, and advocates who are impassioned to create inclusive work for all."

My hat is off to them and I can't wait to watch these talented young performers continue to rise.
